Ortho-Bionomy is a positional release modality based in osteopathy that gently and effectively addresses muscle spasm, structural imbalances, joint pain, and restricted range of motion. The techniques are profound in simplicity and effectiveness. Due to the gentleness of the work, acute pain can be addressed as well as chronic conditions that require an ongoing process of rehabilitation. It combines well with massage and other bodywork therapy to facilitate new patterns of structural alignment, balance, flexibility, and ease.
This foundational class covers the history and principles of Ortho-Bionomy, and extensive hands-on practice of specific positioning techniques developed to stimulate proprioceptive, self-correcting reflexes for all areas of the body. By working with the proprioceptors at the joints, we assist the body to bring a more balanced tone to the muscles surrounding the joints, facilitating the release of pain and tension patterns in seconds, and resulting in expanded range of motion, and a greater sense of well-being.
This work is easy to learn, easy on your body, highly effective, and combines well with any system of health care. l Learn non-invasive, indirect, gentle releases for the • Psoas, Ilium, and Sacrum • Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar Spine • Ribs, Shoulder, Elbow and Wrist • Knees, Ankles and Feet l Enhance the client’s self healing ability l Gentle on both client and practitioner l Easy to Learn, Practical, Hands-on Class.
