Ask Luann Anything with Luann Overmyer

Luann OvermyerDo you ever wish you could spend some time with an Advanced Instructor, with over 40 years of experience practicing and teaching Ortho-Bionomy?

Can you imagine what such a person would have to share and how that experience could inform your own practice and self-care? Luann Overmyer studied with Arthur Lincoln Pauls and was instrumental in creating the Society and its training programs as we know them today.

Participants were able to spend time with Luann and ask a range of Ortho-Bionomy questions.

Some topics covered include:

  • Working with Conditions & Pain--How to approach scoliosis, neck/shoulder pain, hand cramps, and tight legs.
  • Techniques & Exercises--Clarifications on methods like Lazy Dog, Frog, hip lift vs. hip curl, and the pelvic clock.
  • Phases & Resonance--Understanding and applying Phase 6, differences with resonance, and when to use Phase 7
  • Client Relationships--Setting boundaries, knowing when to go deeper, handling resistance, “fix me” clients, trauma, and clients unaware of body sensations.
  • Self-Care & Personal Growth--Managing energy, test jitters, and state shifts.

This is a recording of a SOBI sponsored study group. Please note, no CE credit will be given for this recording.
